MatchScript is free to use and reader-supported. Some of the links that send you to a provider are affiliate links, which means that if you go on to sign up we may receive a commission from that provider. It never costs you anything — your price is the same whether you arrive through us or type the provider's address in yourself — and that revenue is what pays for the research, the re-checking of provider pricing, and keeping the quiz open to everyone. In line with FTC guidance, here is the plain version of how the money works.
Assume any provider may pay us
Rather than mark up individual links, we ask you to assume that any provider we list may compensate us when you sign up through our links, and that some may receive extra promotional visibility such as a featured placement. We would rather you carry that assumption everywhere than try to remember which relationships are paid and which are not. Judge each provider on the facts and on its Match Score, and treat every listing as though a commission could be attached.
Money never touches the numbers
This is the line we hold. A commission never changes a provider's Match Score, never changes the price you pay. What a commercial relationship can affect is placement — where a provider sits on a ranking, and how prominently we feature it — and we would rather tell you that than have you work it out. What it cannot reach is the number: every Match Score is printed unmodified beside its provider, so you can weigh the placement against the score and re-sort the list yourself. The six factor sub-scores behind each Match Score are editorial judgment applied to every provider under the same rubric, described in our methodology, and your quiz result is those fixed numbers re-weighted to your answers — the quiz even prints the weighting it used so you can check it. Placement reaches the quiz in one specific way, and only one: when a provider that pays us finishes within two points of your top scorer, we show the partner from inside that tie — and the result says so and names the provider that actually scored higher, so you can go straight to it. The write-ups are unmoved too: unflattering findings about a provider that pays us stay in.
Editorial independence
We decide which providers to cover and what to say about them, and no provider gets to review or approve our scores or write-ups before they go live. We do not cover every provider in the market; the ones we include reflect our editorial priorities and what readers ask about. When the facts change against a provider that happens to pay us, the write-up changes too.
The relationships we hold
Our arrangements are ordinary affiliate and advertising agreements with the providers we link to, made through them directly or through affiliate networks. MatchScript is an independent publisher — not a medical provider, pharmacy or telehealth company — and we are not affiliated with any provider or drug manufacturer beyond those standard commercial agreements.
Not medical advice
Choosing a GLP-1 provider is a personal health decision, and your quiz result is a research starting point rather than medical advice. Compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products, and you should always consult a licensed clinician before starting any medication.
