Privacy policy

MatchScript is a research tool, not an account-based service. You can take the quiz, read our provider write-ups and browse the site without signing up, and we do not ask you to create a login or hand over your name, email or health details to see your Match Score. This page explains the limited data our analytics can gather, what has to happen before it gathers anything, and how you stay in charge of that.

Measurement through Google Analytics 4

The only measurement we run is Google Analytics 4, and we use it to understand which pages people find useful and how they move through the site so we can improve the quiz and our research. When it is active, GA4 records aggregate, non-identifying signals such as the pages you open, a coarse region inferred from your IP address (Google truncates the address rather than storing it), the type of device and browser you are on, and the link or search that sent you here. We do not attach a real-world identity to any of it, and we have no interest in tracking you as an individual.

Consent Mode v2, US opt-out

MatchScript serves a US audience and runs Google Consent Mode v2 in an opt-out posture: analytics storage is granted from the moment the page loads, and the cookie notice tells you that rather than asking permission first. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization stay denied at all times — nothing here feeds ad targeting or builds an advertising audience. The one preference we store

To avoid asking on every visit, we keep your decision in your own browser under a cookie-consent entry in localStorage. It lives on your device, records only whether you opted out, and is never transmitted to us as personal data — which also makes it per browser and per device. The analytics cookies themselves are set by Google's scripts rather than by MatchScript directly, and opting out deletes them.

We do not sell your data

MatchScript does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles about you. Google processes the analytics data as our provider, and its own handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy terms. We share information beyond that only where the law requires it. Where privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA apply, our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the steps below.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not collect identifying information, there is usually no personal profile to look up, but you remain in control of the little that analytics can gather. The button below switches GA4 off for this browser, immediately and without a reload: Consent Mode goes to denied, the session stops being identified, and the Google Analytics cookies already stored here are deleted. Your choice is kept under the cookie-consent entry; clearing this site's stored data returns you to the default. If you believe we hold anything tied to you and want to access or delete it, write to us and we will act on your request.

Children

MatchScript is written for adults weighing GLP-1 telehealth and is not directed at children. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and it is certainly not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly gather information from children, and if we learn that a child's data has reached us we will remove it.

Retention and security

Analytics data collected after consent is held inside Google Analytics under Google's retention windows and is used only in aggregate; we do not keep a separate identifiable copy. The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and because we minimize what is collected in the first place, there is little about you to expose. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but keeping our data footprint small is a deliberate part of how we protect you.

Changes to this policy

As the site grows or our tools change, we may revise this policy and will update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use MatchScript after a revision means the current version applies to you.
