RxSpan MD review

RxSpan MD is one of the small number of providers in this ranking that will tell you who makes your medication and who signs your prescription before you hand over a card. Four dispensing pharmacies are named with phone numbers — Belmar, Strive, Epiq Scripts and Casa Pharma Rx — and so is the prescribing group: Lion MD, led by Dr. Ana Lisa Carr, MD (NPI 1689841744) and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink, MD (NPI 1346482684). Both verify as active in the federal NPPES registry, Dr. Carr in family medicine with licenses in fifteen states and Dr. Tenbrink in emergency medicine in Florida and Tennessee. The compounded price is genuinely all-in — consult, medication, injection supplies, shipping and ongoing support, with no membership fee stacked on top — and the storefront is unusually complete: semaglutide and tirzepatide as injections or as oral capsules, plus a brand-name lane that is actually purchasable rather than merely listed, at Ozempic $1,299/mo, Wegovy $1,349/mo and Zepbound $1,069/mo. All 50 states are claimed and the company is LegitScript-certified. The thing to know before you click Continue is the default. The plan selector arrives pre-selected on the three-month prepay rather than Monthly, and it badges the three-, six- and twelve-month tiers alike as "Max Saving", so a reader moving briskly buys $657 of semaglutide rather than $249. A month-to-month rung does exist on every compounded product — $249 for semaglutide by either route, $329 for the tirzepatide injection, $349 for tirzepatide capsules — and you have to select it yourself. The prepay ladder is otherwise published honestly, with full up-front totals rather than only per-month averages: semaglutide runs $657 for three months, $1,194 for six and $2,327 for twelve; tirzepatide runs $927, $1,734 and $3,228. That last figure sits awkwardly beside an FAQ that says "No long-term commitments", and both statements are on the same site. The headline figures are also labeled "(For the first month)", and no page states what a month-to-month buyer pays in month two. Two more caveats. The site's own product API exposes cheaper GLP-1 products than anything on the storefront — an oral disintegrating tablet at $179 for semaglutide and $199 for tirzepatide, and a microdose line at the same two figures — all flagged visible, and none of them on any page you can actually reach. We name them here so that nobody quotes them at you as RxSpan's prices: the cheapest GLP-1 numbers on this domain buy nothing. And the brand-name bundles carry a $50 medical review fee, charged if a clinician declines to prescribe, which is the one exception to an otherwise inclusive price. Founder Dr. John Diaz is presented on the About page as a board-certified plastic surgeon; the site publishes no NPI beside that claim, and his biography cites election as president of a "Society of Plastic Surgeons" that does not correspond to a named body, so both are the site's claims rather than confirmed facts. One thing to weigh that has nothing to do with RxSpan's own conduct: Belmar, one of the four pharmacies it names, received an FDA warning letter issued on 31 March 2023 and addressed to Belmar Pharma Solutions, Drug Depot, LLC., dba APS Pharmacy — and FDA closed that letter out on 30 October 2023. It is a supplier disclosure about a resolved matter rather than a mark against RxSpan, which has no warning letter of its own; and a provider willing to name four pharmacies is one whose supply chain you can check at all, which is the opposite of this category's usual problem. Finally, a structural note. RxSpan MD runs on the CareValidate platform and names the same Lion MD prescribers and the same four pharmacies as Synergy Rx and Bodybuilding Health+, both of which are also in this ranking. Three retail brands, one operation behind them — so if you are shortlisting, treat those three as one data point rather than three independent opinions. Worth choosing if you want the pharmacy and the prescriber named up front and both a needle-free and a brand-name option on one account. Switch the plan selector back to Monthly before you pay, unless a year up front is a decision you have actually made.
